Iona graduated from the University of South Australia in 1996. Early career positions were within community health centres around Adelaide. In 1997 Iona commenced private practice to offer a podiatry service to the people of the Northern areas of Adelaide an excellent podiatry experience. 2001 brought Iona to Alice Springs for a brief stint in private practice and Aboriginal Congress. Since graduation Iona has undertaken training in various areas; foot mobilisation and manipulation, dry needling and podiatric acupuncture to name a few.
